RMB 2000 million Facility Agreement between Sri Lanka and China
The Government of Sri Lanka and the China Development Bank entered into an agreement on August 17, 2021 for a financing facility of RMB 2000 million, where the funds are expected to be received today. The facility has been made available, on a request made by the Government of Sri Lanka to the Chinese Government and the China Development Bank to support the country's development efforts. The terms of this facility are very competitive, with a tenure of 10 years with a grace period of 3 years.
